IPad Case, Leather Book Style, Real Patent Leather upcycled from vintage record album
You've got one of the coolest gadgets, tote it around in the most unique case out there! My nod to old technology meets the new.
Fits original iPad and iPad2 with smart cover.
Crafted from the Billie Holiday album, "Embraceable You" on a very cool Verve record label.
The case is handcrafted from real patent leather in a shiny, black and lined with the softest fleece in black. Closing strap is real patent leather in a fun bubblegum pink finish. Hardware is all nickel.
Book style, see photo 4, your ipad slides in the full pouch while you're not using it, slide it into the leather strap and corner inserts while you are using it. This case's interior colors (pink patent leather, with a black fleece lining) are shown in the biggest background shot in this photo.
How it's made: The fun starts with taking the front cover of the album and the actual vinyl and carefully cropping and mounting them to a heavy matboard. The cover section and the vinyl's center graphic are then heavily candy-coated with a new durable, UV resistant, super clear acrylic resin. The vinyl record section is left natural so you are able to see and touch the actual grooves and appreciate its black luster. Use the tab on the side to hold your stylus.
Please know: As with most handcrafted items repurposed from recycled goods there can be some imperfections. Minor blemishes or scuffs are to be expected and only adds to each items history and uniqueness.
Measures approx 8.5 x 11.5.
